MetAI, an NVIDIA-backed leader in AI-powered simulation infrastructure, has partnered with Taiwanese industrial automation innovator Kenmec to become early adopters of NVIDIA Omniverse “Mega” Blueprint in a real-world industrial setting. This partnership showcases the convergence of simulation, AI, and robotics to transform smart warehouses and intelligent manufacturing.
Advanced Simulation Ecosystem Integrates AI, Robotics, and Real-Time Logic
At the core of this collaboration is the integration of NVIDIA Omniverse libraries™, MetAI’s digital twin platform MetGen, its Controller Simulator for real-time logic testing, and Kenmec’s deep expertise in warehouse logistics automation. Together, they created a full-fidelity digital twin of the Chief Smart Logistics Center, enabling high-fidelity simulation that combines physical dynamics, controller logic, and AI-driven optimization within a unified simulated environment.
Daniel Yu, Co-founder and CEO of MetAI, explained:
“Simulation should be the starting point—not the end—of industrial innovation. NVIDIA’s platforms enable us to connect digital twins with multiple robotic brains, manage fleets virtually, and empower AI agents to learn best practices before deployment in the real world.”
Features of the Collaboration:
- NVIDIA Omniverse “Mega” Blueprint: Facilitates large-scale simulation of diverse AI and robotic models with software-defined testing and optimization.
- MetGen SimReady Digital Twin Generation: Converts 2D blueprints and production data into OpenUSD simulation-ready environments instantly.
- Controller Simulator Integration: Tests real PLC controller logic inside OpenUSD digital twins pre-deployment.
- Robot Fleet Simulation: Simulates Kenmec’s conveyor systems, NVIDIA Isaac Manipulator robotic arms, AMRs, smart cameras, and more.
- AI Agent Optimization: Improves control logic, layout efficiency, and reduces failure scenarios like tailgating to streamline automation.
Industrial Impact and Future Plans
By combining real-world industrial logic with MetAI’s simulation technology, this “world simulator” creates a safe, scalable environment to validate robotic ecosystems—accelerating development while minimizing costs and risks.
Jonas Ko, President of Kenmec Mechanical Engineering, shared:
“NVIDIA Omniverse and MetAI technologies allow us to simulate and optimize logistics systems virtually like never before, enabling faster deployment of smarter AI-powered automation backed by real testing.”
Looking ahead, the partners aim to expand this simulation-first approach across multiple verticals, including:
- Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) for semiconductor manufacturing
- Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) fleets for warehouses and production
- AI-driven optimization of workflows and facility layouts
Driving the Future of Physical AI with NVIDIA Omniverse
This collaboration advances NVIDIA’s vision of simulation-native automation powered by the Omniverse “Mega” Blueprint. MetAI and Kenmec are helping define Real-to-Sim and Sim-to-Real pipelines that will underpin the next wave of robotics and Physical AI—from warehouses to advanced manufacturing.
