The digital travel platform has begun a beta rollout to a select group of mobile app users. The assistant is designed to help travelers move from an initial idea—such as planning a family holiday—to comparing options, checking availability and ultimately booking parts of the trip without leaving Agoda’s app.
That integration addresses a problem emerging across consumer AI applications: recommendations are easy to generate, but turning them into transactions is harder.

The assistant’s conversational intelligence is currently powered by OpenAI’s GPT-5.6, according to Agoda. For more complex travel planning, the platform uses Google’s Gemini technology together with Grounding with Google Maps to help identify locations using information such as ratings, photos and opening hours.
That architecture illustrates an increasingly important direction for enterprise AI applications: companies do not necessarily need to rely on one foundation model for every task.
