At the World Economic Forum, Josephine Teo, Singapore’s Minister for Digital Development and Information, announced the Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI, making Singapore the first country to formally define expectations for how autonomous AI agents should be deployed, controlled, and held accountable in enterprise environments.
The message is unambiguous. As AI agents gain the ability to initiate actions, access systems, and make decisions without constant human input, organizations—not algorithms—remain responsible.
