Red Bull Racing and Oracle have turbocharged their partnership with a multi-year extension, preparing for what the teams call “the most significant regulation shift in modern F1 history.” The move cements Oracle’s role in powering Red Bull Racing’s next-generation hybrid power unit, AI race strategy, and enterprise cloud operations.
Since Oracle became the Team’s title partner in 2022, Red Bull Racing has secured three Drivers’ World Championships and two Constructors’ World Championships, breaking multiple performance records along the way. The 2026 season introduces sweeping technical regulations affecting power generation, energy management, and overall race performance—an ideal testing ground for Oracle’s AI and cloud capabilities.
AI-Powered Strategy Takes Pole Position
Red Bull Racing will deploy a new AI-powered strategy agent built on Oracle’s AI stack. This system automates data collection, interprets historical and real-time race metrics, and delivers actionable insights for engineers. By combining AI intelligence with human expertise, the team expects faster, more precise in-race decision making, a critical advantage under F1’s razor-thin margins.
“Oracle Cloud and Oracle AI let us model, optimize, and adapt in ways our competitors simply can’t match,” said Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal, Red Bull Racing. “From hybrid power units to strategy execution, the technology enables smarter, faster, championship-winning decisions.”
Next-Gen Hybrid Power and Advanced Simulations
The debut of Red Bull Ford Powertrains’ hybrid engine, engineered entirely with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), represents a landmark technical achievement. With high-performance computing, bare-metal infrastructure, and large-scale simulations, Red Bull Racing designed and refined a competitive power unit in record time—even against manufacturers with decades of engine experience.
OCI also powers next-generation race simulations, modeling energy usage, active aero, tire interactions, and thousands of potential race scenarios. This allows drivers and strategists to optimize performance across every corner, pit stop, and weather condition, turning granular data into a strategic advantage.
Operational Excellence Beyond the Track
Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications bring AI-driven efficiencies to Red Bull Racing’s finance, HR, and marketing operations. From payroll automation to personalized fan engagement and loyalty programs, Oracle is helping the team streamline internal workflows while expanding their global fan base.
“Whether it’s modeling hybrid engines, AI race strategy, or operational efficiency, the same technologies that power Red Bull Racing’s edge on track also transform enterprise operations worldwide,” said Clay Magouyrk, CEO of Oracle.
As Formula 1 evolves, Red Bull Racing and Oracle demonstrate how cloud, AI, and data-driven insights can define competitive advantage—on the track and in the enterprise.
