The first members are Jia Li, Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer of LiveX AI, and Julian Togelius, Associate Professor at NYU and Co-Founder of modl.ai. Unity plans to expand the Council in the coming months.

Jia Li brings extensive experience in AI and multimodal systems, having led R&D at Google Cloud AI and co-founded HealthUnity Corporation. Li sees Unity as a prime platform to create “living, breathing worlds” and deliver personalized experiences across mobile, PC, console, and XR.

Julian Togelius specializes in procedural content generation, computational creativity, and game AI, with decades of experience advancing adaptive game design and quality assurance. Togelius sees the Council as a way to leverage AI innovations that were previously out of reach.
