Swiss deep-tech leader LatticeFlow AI is expanding its footprint in enterprise AI governance with the acquisition of AI Sonar Ltd, a Dublin-based subsidiary of CloudSphere Ltd. Announced at the World Economic Forum, the deal positions LatticeFlow AI to offer the industry’s first end-to-end, evidence-based AI governance solution, connecting on-prem discovery with centralized SaaS governance operations. The platform will cover GenAI, agentic AI, and traditional AI systems, ensuring enterprises can govern AI at scale while maintaining security and privacy.
The AI Sonar platform, known for detecting shadow AI—unauthorized or hidden AI deployments within organizations—will continue under its existing brand while fully integrating into LatticeFlow AI’s roadmap. Dublin becomes LatticeFlow AI’s third R&D hub, joining Zurich, Switzerland, and Sofia, Bulgaria. Former CloudSphere CTO Paul Mansfield will lead the combined engineering team.
AI Discovery as the Foundation of Governance
Enterprise AI adoption is accelerating rapidly, creating sprawling environments where hundreds or thousands of AI systems operate simultaneously. Without visibility, governance becomes reactive, compliance controls falter, and sensitive data is exposed.
By acquiring AI Sonar, LatticeFlow AI is establishing AI discovery as a critical layer for evidence-based governance. The platform automatically identifies AI assets across on-prem and cloud systems, maintaining a continuously updated enterprise AI catalog. Each asset is linked to evidence generated through LatticeFlow AI’s technical evaluations, enabling organizations to govern AI proactively rather than after deployment.
“AI governance cannot work without visibility,” said Dr. Petar Tsankov, CEO and Co-Founder of LatticeFlow AI. “This acquisition reinforces our leadership in evidence-based AI governance. Governance is a technical discipline, like cybersecurity, and must be embedded directly into the technology stack.”
Closing the Gap Between AI Adoption and Governance
As AI spreads through enterprise applications—often deployed by employees or software vendors—organizations struggle to maintain accountability and consistent controls. Shadow AI and unauthorized models create material risks in security, compliance, and legal oversight.
AI Sonar addresses this by providing:
- Continuous visibility across all AI systems
- Live AI portfolio discovery in both cloud and on-prem environments
- Automated linking of AI assets to evidence-based technical evaluations
By combining discovery with governance workflows, LatticeFlow AI enables end-to-end lifecycle management, ensuring AI systems are monitored, assessed, and controlled as they evolve.
Building the Next Generation AI Governance Stack
With the acquisition, LatticeFlow AI now offers a full suite of capabilities across the AI lifecycle:
- Private and secure governance connecting on-prem discovery with centralized SaaS operations
- Continuous technical risk assessments and evidence generation
- Integrated workflows linking discovery, governance frameworks, and deep technical controls
This approach allows organizations to embed AI governance directly into operational systems, rather than relying on dashboards or manual checklists—a model increasingly necessary as AI adoption scales.
Looking Ahead
The addition of AI Sonar strengthens LatticeFlow AI’s ability to meet enterprise security and regulatory requirements, a growing priority as AI adoption accelerates. By combining continuous discovery, cataloging, evaluation, and governance, the company is positioning itself as a one-stop solution for managing complex AI estates in a secure, evidence-driven manner.
