At IFA 2026, EZVIZ is challenging that assumption with a new generation of AI-enabled cameras designed to combine multi-lens coverage, 24/7 recording, wireless connectivity and solar charging. The company’s latest launches point to a broader shift in smart-home security: cameras are becoming more autonomous, more intelligent and less dependent on fixed infrastructure.
The smart-home security market is entering a phase where convenience alone is no longer enough. Consumers increasingly expect cameras to understand what they see, maintain connectivity, record continuously and operate for long periods without regular intervention.
EZVIZ is using IFA 2026 to showcase how battery-powered cameras could evolve to meet those expectations.
At its 193-square-meter booth in Hall 1.2, the smart-home technology company is presenting a portfolio built around AI-powered security, smart entry, cleaning robots and wearable electronics. Its battery camera launches are among the most notable products, particularly because several models combine two or three lenses with features traditionally associated with permanently installed security systems.
The underlying proposition is straightforward: a wireless camera should not have to mean reduced coverage or functionality.
Multi-lens cameras change the battery-camera equation
EZVIZ’s new 3K dual-lens battery range illustrates that approach.
The CB30 Dual is designed around flexible installation, with a magnetic base and weather-resistant construction. EZVIZ says the camera can provide a 180-degree field of view designed to reduce blind spots, while eliminating the need for drilling or complex installation.
That matters because battery cameras have generally been strongest in situations where conventional wired cameras are inconvenient. The trade-off has often been narrower coverage, more frequent charging or limitations around continuous recording.
The CB30 Dual attempts to address those compromises through a combination of dual-lens coverage and battery operation.
The higher-end CB60 Dual extends the concept with panoramic pan coverage, up to 8x zoom and both Wi-Fi and 4G connectivity. That combination makes the device relevant not only for fixed residential locations but potentially for areas where network infrastructure is unreliable or where users need to reposition cameras frequently.

Solar power is becoming part of the security architecture

The more advanced HB90f Triple takes the approach further.
It combines three lenses and three motors with 12x hybrid zoom and coverage designed to minimize dead zones. The camera also includes a solar panel and supports both 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity.
That combination points toward an important direction for smart-home hardware: energy autonomy and connectivity redundancy are becoming as important as image quality.
For consumers, the appeal is obvious. A security system that can generate its own supplemental power and maintain a cellular connection can potentially remain operational when household connectivity or access becomes a problem.
