DataRobot, a leading provider of AI solutions, has released the results of a global survey conducted in partnership with CIO.com, shedding light on the current challenges AI leaders face. The survey reveals that more than 50% of AI leaders plan to augment their investments in hyperscalers and cloud service providers to bridge gaps limiting the full impact of AI.

- Vendor Lock-In Concerns
- Over 60% of respondents are concerned with vendor lock-in issues, particularly regarding cross-cloud compatibility. This hampers the flexibility to utilize a multi-cloud approach and integrate new AI techniques or LLMs into existing workflows.
- High Maintenance Costs
- 51% of AI leaders who have been using hyperscaler AI tools for more than three years, and 43% of all respondents, expressed concerns about the high costs associated with maintaining AI projects.
