askelie Launches Operational AI Platform for Business

askelie Launches Operational AI Platform askelie Launches Operational AI Platform

askelie has launched an Operational AI Platform designed to let MSPs, software vendors and business users configure reusable AI capabilities for business workflows without building an AI foundation from scratch. Available from September 21, 2026, the platform combines AI, enterprise data, knowledge, workflows, integrations, security and governance around an Understand, Decide, Act, Control architecture.

The enterprise AI market is shifting from experimentation toward operational deployment, and askelie is positioning its new platform around that transition.

The company today announced the askelie Operational AI Platform, opening capabilities developed through its enterprise AI deployments to managed service providers (MSPs), software vendors and business users. Rather than requiring customers to assemble an AI stack before developing applications, the platform lets them configure and combine existing capabilities for specific operational requirements.

The approach addresses a persistent challenge in enterprise AI: moving from individual use cases and pilots to systems that can operate inside established business processes.

askelie says its platform brings together AI intelligence, data, enterprise knowledge, workflows, integrations, security and governance under an Understand • Decide • Act • Control model. At launch, customers and partners can configure AI-powered Assistants and Automations, while the underlying platform is intended to support more advanced applications such as Digital Workers and Autonomous Applications.

That positioning puts askelie into a growing category of AI application and orchestration platforms that sit between foundation models and business operations. Instead of competing primarily on the underlying model, these platforms focus on connecting models to proprietary data, enterprise systems, workflows and controls.

Gartner estimates worldwide spending on AI models and platforms will reach $64.3 billion in 2026, up 63.4% from 2025. AI application development platforms alone are forecast to grow 38.6% during the year. Gartner also says enterprises are placing greater emphasis on usage efficiency, cost control and measurable outcomes as AI spending expands.

That environment creates an opening for platforms that can reduce the technical and operational work between an AI capability and a production workflow.

For askelie, reuse is a central part of the proposition. The company says customers can combine proven capabilities instead of developing an enterprise AI foundation from the beginning. Model selection and consumption-based pricing are also intended to give organizations more control over AI costs.

The platform is being offered to MSPs as a way to configure and reuse AI-powered services across multiple customers. For software vendors, askelie says the platform can extend existing products with external data and business context or provide a foundation for new AI-powered functionality.

This partner orientation is significant as AI adoption expands beyond standalone chatbots. MSPs and software companies increasingly sit between AI technology providers and organizations that need to embed AI into existing applications and workflows. The integration layer—including identity, data access, business rules, monitoring and governance—can become as important as the model itself.

Independent research points to a similar challenge. IDC says roughly two-thirds of organizations were using AI in live production environments at the beginning of 2026, but most had not scaled substantially beyond targeted deployments. Its 2026 AI maturity benchmark found that only 3.1% of 1,900 organizations studied across 20 markets had reached its optimized maturity stage.

Gartner likewise reported in September that only 22% of organizations had successfully scaled AI across multiple business units or adopted an AI-first approach, based on a survey of 1,303 organizations with at least $50 million in annual revenue.

Those figures help explain the emphasis on operationalization. Enterprise AI adoption is no longer primarily about obtaining access to a capable model. Organizations must connect AI to business data, workflows and applications while establishing oversight and auditability.

askelie says those controls are built into its platform, including security, governance, human oversight and end-to-end auditability. The company is also positioning the platform as a progression from Assistants and Automations toward Digital Workers and Autonomous Applications.

That evolution mirrors the wider movement toward AI agents and autonomous systems, where software can perform multi-step tasks rather than simply generate responses. Gartner’s September forecast puts worldwide spending on AI agents and assistants at $29.2 billion in 2026, rising to $65.5 billion in 2027.

The askelie Operational AI Platform is available from September 21, 2026. Its broader significance will depend on how effectively reusable AI capabilities can translate into reliable, governed workflows across different organizations and software environments.

Market Landscape

Enterprise AI is increasingly moving from isolated experimentation toward deployment, integration and operationalization. IDC describes the current challenge as an adoption gap: technology availability is advancing faster than organizations’ ability to scale AI across processes, data and governance structures.

Gartner’s September 2026 forecast puts worldwide AI spending at $2.67 trillion, including $461.6 billion in AI software and $29.2 billion in AI agents and assistants. The research firm also says enterprises are increasingly embedding agentic AI into existing software and workflows.
