UK-based Antare is launching an agentic AI security platform designed to automatically analyze body-worn and fixed-camera footage, identify incidents, alert teams in real time and turn recorded events into searchable operational intelligence. The company is betting that AI can move video security from passive evidence collection toward continuous detection and response.
Security cameras have traditionally created an information problem almost as much as a security solution.
When an incident occurs, organizations may have hours of video to review, often after the fact. Security personnel must locate the relevant footage, determine what happened and reconstruct events from fragmented recordings.
Antare wants to change that workflow.
The UK-based company has launched an agentic security platform that uses AI to analyze video and audio continuously, detect potential incidents and automatically generate searchable records of what happened. Its platform works with Antare’s own body-worn cameras and is designed to eventually connect with customers’ existing fixed-camera infrastructure.
The company’s timing reflects a broader shift in physical security toward AI-powered video analytics. Instead of relying primarily on people to monitor screens or investigate footage after an incident, computer vision and machine-learning systems can continuously analyze video streams and surface events that warrant human attention.
Antare is taking that concept a step further by describing its platform as agentic.
AI agents watch for specific risks
The company’s Antare Console processes video and audio as it is recorded, transcribing, indexing and scoring events automatically. Separate AI agents are designed to identify signals including physical or verbal assaults, suspicious behavior, safety hazards, medical incidents and weapons.
When the system detects a relevant event, it can send an alert and live video to colleagues through the Antare App.
The distinction between detection and response is important. Traditional video surveillance can already identify certain objects or behaviors, but an enterprise security platform has to connect detection with an operational workflow.
For example, an AI system identifying a physical assault is more useful when it can simultaneously alert the appropriate security personnel, provide the relevant live footage and preserve the surrounding video needed to reconstruct what happened.
Antare’s body-worn cameras are designed around that context.
Rather than requiring employees to manually activate recording once a confrontation has started, the company says its cameras capture the moments before, during and after incidents. A free-text search interface allows users to investigate recorded events, while automated daily summaries are intended to reduce the likelihood that important incidents disappear into an organization’s video archive.

Its Cloud Gateway, which the company says is coming soon, is intended to connect existing fixed-camera infrastructure to the Antare cloud platform. The objective is to bring body-worn and fixed cameras into a single console rather than requiring security teams to manage separate systems.
That puts Antare into competition with a broad market of video-management and physical-security vendors.
Companies such as Verkada, Motorola Solutions, Axis Communications and Avigilon already offer combinations of cameras, cloud management, video analytics and AI-assisted security workflows. The market is increasingly moving toward integrated platforms rather than standalone cameras.
Antare’s differentiation is its emphasis on agentic analysis across both body-worn and fixed video, coupled with subscription-based access to its software and hardware.
The company says its body-worn camera products are available today in the U.S., UK and EU. Its Body-worn Camera Pro is designed for more demanding frontline environments, while the Compact model targets customer-facing workers looking for a smaller device.
Both are offered through an all-inclusive monthly subscription that includes cellular connectivity and unlimited Antare Console users. There is no minimum order quantity or fixed contract term, according to the company.
Privacy becomes part of the product
AI-powered surveillance inevitably raises privacy questions, particularly when cameras are worn by employees and record interactions with customers and members of the public.
Antare says footage is encrypted on its devices and during transmission. Once uploaded to its cloud environment, footage is removed from the device, while cloud access is controlled through user roles.
The company says data is stored in the customer’s local region — UK, EU or U.S. — and automatically deleted after 30 days unless an authorized user retains it. Antare is SOC 2 Type I certified and says SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications are in progress.
Those controls are important, but enterprises will still need to evaluate deployment against applicable privacy and employment laws, internal policies, data-retention requirements and local rules governing video and biometric information.
The platform’s use of AI also makes transparency important. Security teams need to understand what signals the system analyzes, how alerts are generated and how humans can review or challenge automated classifications.
The emerging agentic security market
Antare’s launch illustrates a broader change in physical security: AI is moving from searching footage after an incident to actively interpreting events as they happen.
That shift could make security operations more proactive, but it will not eliminate the need for human judgment. The most practical systems will likely be those that reduce the amount of footage humans need to watch while giving operators enough context to make faster decisions.
Antare says its fixed-camera product line will follow in early 2027 through accredited installation partners.
For enterprise security leaders, the more important question is whether platforms like Antare can turn large volumes of video into reliable, actionable intelligence without creating excessive privacy, false-alert or integration burdens.
If they can, the security camera could become something more than a recording device. It could become an AI-powered sensor for the physical enterprise.
