ZetaChain has launched the beta and public waitlist for Anuma, a privacy-first AI interface built on ZetaChain 2.0, the company’s new AI interoperability layer. Designed for developers and consumers alike, ZetaChain 2.0 enables AI applications to operate across multiple models, preserve private user context, and monetize globally without building backend infrastructure from scratch.
The platform draws on Ankur Nandwani’s experience co-creating the Basic Attention Token (BAT) and Brave browser ecosystem, which popularized privacy-first browsing at scale. Anuma applies similar principles to AI, giving users control over context and memory in an era where these increasingly define the AI experience.
Tackling AI Fragmentation
AI adoption is accelerating: ChatGPT reached 100 million users in just two months, and OpenAI reported 800 million weekly active users by late 2025. Yet the ecosystem remains fragmented, with only 9% of consumers subscribing to more than one AI assistant. Developers face repeated integration, routing, and billing work, while user data is routinely shared across apps and model providers.
ZetaChain’s solution mirrors its Web3 unification strategy, which allows applications to natively access assets like BTC and operate across multiple blockchains. By 2025, the ZetaChain network had 11.5 million users and processed 225 million transactions. ZetaChain 2.0 extends this approach to AI, enabling apps to run across both chains and models while maintaining private, permissioned memory.
Core Components of ZetaChain 2.0
- AI Portal – A unified routing and execution layer allowing apps to access multiple AI providers without lock-in. It supports availability, fallback, and cost-performance optimization.
- Private Memory Layer – A protocol-level memory system that keeps user context encrypted and permissioned, enabling persistent experiences while giving users control over data access.
Developers can leverage a comprehensive SDK combining persistent memory, cross-model interoperability, and monetization primitives, simplifying the creation of privacy-first AI apps and agents with global monetization capabilities.
Anuma: Consumer-Ready Showcase
Anuma is the first consumer AI interface built on ZetaChain 2.0. Users can switch between leading AI models without losing context, while all memory remains private and user-controlled. Early access is available via a public waitlist.
“Brave and BAT proved that privacy-first defaults can win at consumer scale,” said Ankur Nandwani, Core Contributor at ZetaChain. “ZetaChain 2.0 extends the same approach to AI, enabling apps and agents that run across models and chains with private memory and global monetization by default.”
Funding and Ecosystem
In 2023, ZetaChain raised $27 million from investors including Blockchain.com, VY Capital, Sky9 Capital, Jane Street Capital, and others, providing capital to scale developer tools, infrastructure, and privacy-first AI solutions globally.
