In February 2023, Google Bard claimed that the James Webb Space Telescope took the first image of a planet outside the solar system. However, it turned out to be incorrect, and NASA confirmed that the statement was false, as the James Webb Space Telescope was not launched until 2021. Such instances have developed a new concept, “AI Hallucinations”. Machines feeding on false or incomplete data, generating inaccurate outputs have prompted the critical challenge that is AI hallucination. While AI has made impressive strides in various domains, it is not immune to errors, misjudgments, and even the unexpected.
