Protean eGov Technologies has unveiled Future Force AI, a company-wide initiative aimed at embedding artificial intelligence across roles, functions, and workflows. Branded with the tagline “Future-Ready starts now,” the campaign marks a strategic shift: AI is no longer a peripheral productivity tool but a core organizational capability reshaping how work is designed, executed, and scaled.
The first milestone of the program was a full-day Experiential AI Learning Lab, which engaged over 700 employees—more than 90% of the workforce—making it one of the largest coordinated internal AI capability-building initiatives in India. The session included participation from board members, the CEO, senior leadership, and employees across all levels, signaling leadership’s commitment to fostering an AI-first culture.
Hands-On Learning for Real-World Impact
The AI immersion focused on practical applications and real-world use cases, teaching employees how AI tools can optimize time-intensive tasks. Participants explored prompt engineering, context-setting, output refinement, and workflow automation, applying these concepts to live business scenarios.
Teams worked on customized Capstone Projects derived from their own work environments, using AI for activities such as documentation, analysis, reporting, and content synthesis. The applied approach enabled employees to automate high-frequency tasks, improve accuracy, accelerate turnaround times, and free up human effort for market analysis, creative problem-solving, and product innovation.
“Adoption of technology always begins with a mindset shift,” said Harpreet Anand, Chief Human Resources Officer at Protean eGov Technologies. “The participation of over 700 employees and more than 6,000 man-hours in a single AI adoption experience reflects Protean’s operational rigor. Beyond scale, it signals our clear AI-first intent. This is just the beginning—we have a series of capability-building interventions planned to deepen proficiency, build digital dexterity, and foster a sustained culture shift.”
Organizational Readiness Matters
Protean’s initiative highlights a key insight for the broader industry: AI adoption is not just about individual skills. Organizations must evolve their operating models, governance frameworks, and technology environments to support AI at scale. This includes policy modernization, secure platforms, real-time oversight, and building comfort with AI-driven workflows.
By aligning employee capability with organizational readiness, Future Force AI ensures that skill-building translates into tangible productivity gains and scalable value creation.
Strategic Implications for India’s Digital Governance
With a 30-year legacy in building large-scale digital systems for public services, Protean has been a key contributor to India’s Digital Public Infrastructure journey. Future Force AI reinforces the importance of preparing the workforce that powers these critical platforms as India positions itself as a global leader in digital governance.
By investing in people while scaling technology, Protean sends a clear message: preparing for the AI era requires more than tools—it demands a fundamental rethinking of how organizations operate, collaborate, and create value.
