SYDNEY, October 27th, 2026 – WatchGuard Technologies, a global leader in unified cybersecurity for managed service providers (MSPs), is strengthening its channel network in Fiji through its partnership with Datec Fiji, which has officially achieved WatchGuardONE Gold Partner status.
The milestone highlights WatchGuard’s channel-first approach and Datec’s commitment to building local cybersecurity expertise. Datec’s team holds WatchGuard technical certifications across Endpoint Security, Network Security, Identity Security, and Secure Wi-Fi, alongside Secure Wi-Fi Sales certifications. Datec is continuing to invest in its capabilities through further certifications, training for its pre-sales and account management teams, and engineering development to support the deployment and ongoing management of WatchGuard solutions across Fiji and the wider region.
Anthony Daniel, Managing Director, Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands at WatchGuard Technologies, said, “Fiji and the wider Pacific represent an important growth opportunity for WatchGuard, and strong local partnerships are central to how we support that market. Datec achieving Gold Partner status reflects its investment in technical expertise and its commitment to delivering better cybersecurity outcomes for customers. We’re excited to continue building on this partnership while supporting more local IT providers to expand their security capabilities and managed services offerings.”
Vinit Vishaal Nand, CEO of Datec Fiji, said, “Achieving WatchGuardONE Gold Partner status is an important milestone for Datec, but more importantly, it demonstrates the capability we are continuing to build here in Fiji. For our customers, it provides greater confidence that they can access globally recognised cybersecurity solutions backed by qualified local expertise. With more than 40 years of experience in Fiji and the Pacific, our focus has always been on evolving with our customers and the technology they depend on.”
WatchGuard and Datec have worked together for more than three years and have delivered cybersecurity solutions across a range of sectors in Fiji, including insurance, government, legal and professional services, ICT and financial services. The partnership supports organisations across diverse security environments by combining WatchGuard’s global technology with Datec’s deep local market knowledge.
Looking ahead, Datec sees strong growth potential in expanding its Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) model across Fiji’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) market. The model aims to help businesses access enterprise-grade cybersecurity technology, expertise and ongoing support without having to build and maintain these capabilities entirely in-house. WatchGuard and Datec will also engage with Fiji’s technology community at the Fiji Tech Summit 2026 on 12–13 November, connecting with industry peers to discuss emerging cybersecurity challenges, modern security architectures and regional threat intelligence.
