Qnity Electronics (NYSE: Q) has announced a strategic collaboration with NVIDIA to accelerate AI-driven innovation in semiconductor materials research. Leveraging tools including NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Nano, ALCHEMI BMD NIM, LAMMPS Kokkos, and CUDA-X accelerated Abaqus, the partnership aims to optimize next-generation high-performance computing, AI, and advanced packaging technologies.

Signal integrity at higher speeds and densities is increasingly critical for system performance and reliability, and the collaboration focuses on modeling and simulation technologies to address these challenges.

“As AI workloads continue to grow in scale and complexity, the demand for advanced materials that deliver higher performance, quality, and reliability is increasing across the industry,” said Jon Kemp, CEO of Qnity. “The next wave of progress will depend on bold innovation and close collaboration across the ecosystem.”

Accelerating materials R&D

Qnity’s initiative targets materials innovation across the semiconductor value chain—from chip manufacturing and advanced packaging to high-speed interconnects and system-level integration. By combining accelerated modeling with open innovation platforms, Qnity aims to compress development timelines while improving critical performance factors such as signal integrity, manufacturability, and reliability.

“Leveraging accelerated modeling allows us to bring innovation for cutting-edge applications to market faster, while optimizing performance factors such as signal integrity, reliability, and manufacturability,” said Randy King, CTO and Sustainability Officer, Qnity.

Implications for AI and HPC

As AI models and high-performance computing workloads continue to expand, semiconductor materials must evolve to support increased speed, density, and thermal management. The collaboration underscores the growing importance of combining AI-driven simulation, advanced materials research, and ecosystem partnerships to meet next-generation computing demands.

By integrating NVIDIA’s advanced modeling and simulation technologies, Qnity is positioning itself as a key enabler for semiconductors designed to handle AI-scale workloads reliably and efficiently, helping customers accelerate innovation in an increasingly competitive market.
