Basel-based biotech incubator Swiss Rockets AG is doubling down on AI, teaming up with Swiss enterprise AI leader Squirro AG to accelerate innovation across its portfolio. The strategic partnership will integrate Squirro’s Generative AI Platform into Swiss Rockets’ digital knowledge ecosystem, creating a unified layer for research, operational, and business intelligence.
Doing More With Less Through AI
Squirro’s technology promises to transform Swiss Rockets’ workflows. Its AI and Knowledge Graph systems will power an assistant capable of summarizing, connecting, and explaining data across internal documents, research archives, and public sources. The goal: smarter decision-making with fewer resources.
“Artificial intelligence is the best way to do more with fewer resources,” said Sergey Kravchenko, Executive Chairman of Squirro AG. “Swiss Rockets shows how responsible AI can drive real business value in life sciences.”
CEO Dr. Vladimir Cmiljanovic added, “Squirro’s platform lets us manage knowledge and scale innovation faster and more efficiently.”
Building an AI-Driven Biotech Future
The partnership begins with the Swiss Rockets AI Assistant, followed by use cases in research intelligence, portfolio analytics, and corporate knowledge management. These initiatives are part of a larger roadmap to embed generative AI into daily operations and strategic planning.
“This is about laying the foundation for continuous learning and growth,” said Dr. Dorian Selz, CEO and Co-Founder of Squirro. “Swiss Rockets is demonstrating how AI can empower innovation while staying fully compliant and secure.”
Security and Compliance at the Core
All AI systems will run on Swiss Rockets’ ISO 27001–certified Swiss cloud, ensuring GDPR, HIPAA, and EU AI Act compliance. Both companies emphasize Responsible AI, prioritizing transparency, explainability, and robust data protection.
This move highlights a growing trend in biotech: harnessing AI not just for efficiency, but as a strategic driver of innovation, positioning Swiss Rockets alongside other life sciences organizations investing heavily in generative AI to stay ahead in research and development.
