Nimble Gravity is scaling up its AI and data firepower. The Denver-based consultancy, known for embedding AI, data, and engineering into business strategy, has acquired Fog Solutions, a U.S.-based data and AI firm with a reputation for lightning-fast delivery of cloud and AI-enabled solutions.
The deal adds 50 new data and AI specialists—many with deep Microsoft Azure and Databricks expertise—bringing Nimble Gravity’s global headcount to around 250. It’s the firm’s third acquisition in less than a year, following Colombia’s iGerencia and Argentina’s mDEVZ, and comes on the heels of a strategic growth investment from Rallyday Partners earlier this year.
Why Fog Solutions?
Fog Solutions brings a strong roster of enterprise clients, an agile delivery model, and tight relationships with Microsoft and Databricks—partnerships that have become increasingly valuable as enterprises race to operationalize AI.
“AI innovation continues to accelerate; organizations need trusted partners to help harness that innovation for tangible business benefit,” said Tony Aug, CEO of Nimble Gravity. “With Fog Solutions, we’re better positioned to help clients unlock the full value of their data—from strategy through execution.”
Fog’s capabilities cover the entire data value chain—strategy, governance, architecture, and AI product delivery—strengthening Nimble Gravity’s cross-industry reach and enabling more turnkey deployments of Microsoft’s Cloud and AI platforms.
The Bigger Picture: AI Adoption at Speed
For corporate clients and private equity investors alike, the challenge isn’t just adopting AI—it’s embedding it into the operational core and delivering measurable ROI. Nimble Gravity positions itself as a bridge between boardroom vision and production-grade execution, marrying strategy consulting with hands-on technical delivery.
“Joining Nimble Gravity allows us to bring our velocity and technical depth to a broader client base while continuing to deliver the high-quality outcomes our customers expect,” said Matt Jackson, CEO of Fog Solutions.
Market Context
The acquisition comes amid an AI services land grab, with competitors like Accenture, Cognizant, and Slalom also deepening their AI engineering benches. But Nimble Gravity’s mix of private equity-backed scale, boutique agility, and specialized cloud partnerships gives it a different angle in the market—especially for clients seeking fast, governed, cloud-native AI rollouts.
“Fog Solutions brings not only exceptional technical talent but also a like-minded culture focused on delivering client impact,” said Nancy Phillips, Managing Partner at Rallyday Partners. “Their track record in building scalable, cloud-native solutions aligns perfectly with the growing demand we’re seeing from clients.”
With the AI consulting space heating up, Nimble Gravity’s latest move positions it to compete head-on with larger incumbents—while still moving fast enough to keep pace with the technology it sells.
