Infinitus Systems, a leader in agentic communications powering over 100 million minutes of clinical and administrative conversations, has teamed up with Outshift by Cisco to streamline healthcare operations. The collaboration leverages distributed, secure AI agents to orchestrate complex workflows and reduce administrative burdens on clinicians.
Healthcare professionals are swamped with tasks like patient follow-ups, prior authorizations, and insurance verifications. Infinitus AI agents aim to replace labor-intensive workflows—often involving thousands of calls, faxes, and voicemails—cutting task completion from 24–48 hours down to seconds or a few hours.
The partnership with Outshift and Cisco enables orchestrated multi-agent workflows across healthcare organizations, serving patients, clinicians, and staff simultaneously. “Together we can build an infrastructure that dramatically improves the consumer experience, particularly in healthcare, to eliminate administrative burden for clinicians and streamline complex workflows,” said Papi Menon, Chief Product Officer at Outshift by Cisco.
Infinitus emphasizes interoperability and trust, building its agents on open protocols such as Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent-to-Agent (A2A). This ensures AI agents can securely integrate across diverse systems and orchestrations. Infinitus also contributes to AGNTCY, a Linux Foundation open-source framework advancing the Internet of AI Agents. By publishing its MCP implementation to the Agent Directory, Infinitus ensures seamless integration with agents from other organizations.
“Agentic AI is simplifying work and unlocking new possibilities in healthcare,” said Ankit Jain, CEO of Infinitus. “With this partnership, we can accelerate that future and lay foundational standards for open, interoperable, and responsible AI infrastructure.”
This move comes alongside Infinitus’ expanding partnerships with Salesforce and IBM, automating payor-facing call tasks and scaling agentic AI into specialty pharmacy. Recognition from Fast Company’s World’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025 underscores Infinitus’ growing impact in AI-driven healthcare.
By combining AI orchestration with healthcare-specific integrations, Infinitus and Cisco are positioning agentic AI as a practical tool for reducing costs, improving efficiency, and enhancing patient care—a potential blueprint for the next wave of healthcare technology.
