HARMAN has finalized the sale of its Digital Transformation Solutions (DTS) business unit to Wipro Limited, marking a strategic pivot toward its core Automotive and Lifestyle businesses. The transaction comes after all regulatory approvals were secured and ensures continuity for DTS employees and customers.
“This milestone reflects our disciplined approach to portfolio management and our commitment to long-term growth,” said Carolin Reichert, HARMAN’s Chief Strategy Officer. “We appreciate the contributions of our DTS colleagues, and we are confident the business will continue to thrive as part of Wipro.”
Integration and Strategic Partnership
Following the acquisition, DTS will operate under Wipro’s Engineering Global Business Line. The deal also establishes a multi-year strategic agreement between Wipro, HARMAN, and Samsung, creating opportunities for joint growth, innovation, and digital transformation initiatives.
HARMAN emphasized that the sale allows it to focus investment on advanced automotive, audio, and connected technologies, continuing its drive to deliver meaningful innovation for automakers, consumers, and enterprises worldwide.
The move reflects a broader industry trend of technology providers streamlining operations, divesting non-core units, and concentrating on sectors with the highest strategic impact. For Wipro, acquiring DTS strengthens its engineering services portfolio and expands its footprint in digital transformation solutions across global markets.
