Forethought, the AI company reimagining customer experience through agentic intelligence, today launched Browser Agent, a breakthrough that allows AI to take action directly inside any browser-based system — without APIs, integrations, or engineering effort.
The company also rolled out Headless Forethought and Custom Insights, expanding its enterprise AI platform to unify how organizations deploy, govern, and measure AI across every customer interaction channel.
“AI has spent the last few years learning to answer questions,” said Sami Ghoche, CEO and Co-Founder of Forethought. “The next era is about action and outcomes. Browser Agent allows AI to securely complete real tasks inside systems that were never built for automation.”
Solving the API Automation Gap
Most enterprise AI agents today depend on APIs. The problem? Only 24% of enterprise systems actually expose them. That leaves roughly three-quarters of digital workflows locked behind browser-based UIs — inaccessible to traditional automation tools.
Forethought’s Browser Agent bridges that gap by allowing AI to perform actions directly within web interfaces, mimicking how a human agent would interact with forms, dashboards, or ticketing systems — all while maintaining strict enterprise-grade governance.
Key capabilities include:
- Automation without APIs — Direct action inside any browser-based system.
- Enterprise governance — Includes domain allow-listing, encrypted credentials, simulation and approval modes, and full session visibility.
- Omnichannel integration — Triggerable from chat, voice, email, or Slack.
For customer experience teams, that means faster resolutions and more scalable automation — without the cost or complexity of refactoring legacy systems.
“Browser Agent represents the next step in how AI can help us deliver exceptional customer experiences,” said Brent Pliskow, GM and VP of Customer Experience at Upwork. “It extends AI into areas of support that were previously out of reach.”
Expanding the Forethought Platform
The Browser Agent launch comes alongside two major platform additions aimed at giving enterprises deeper flexibility and insight:
Headless Forethought
A headless deployment option that lets organizations embed Forethought AI directly into existing systems via APIs or Model Context Protocol (MCP) — while maintaining full control over tone, compliance, and escalation logic.
Formstack, one of Forethought’s early adopters, used this approach to automate case routing and resolution — achieving a 78% automated resolution rate while retaining its existing interface.
Custom Insights
A new analytics layer that lets CX leaders define success metrics, monitor real-time dashboards, and identify the interactions driving satisfaction, delays, or escalations.
“Agentic AI isn’t just another tech trend — it’s redefining how businesses operate,” said Antoine Nasr, Head of AI at Forethought. “When companies design AI around outcomes, not hype, they achieve measurable results.”
A Shift From Answers to Actions
The Browser Agent marks a notable evolution in enterprise AI. While the first wave of GenAI focused on conversational intelligence, Forethought’s newest capabilities move beyond answers toward direct, outcome-driven automation — a shift that many CX and operations leaders are now prioritizing.
“With Forethought, we’ve seen a clear lift in both quality and speed of support,” said Jakub Kepczynski, Head of Care at Grammarly. “Their AI helps us deliver faster resolutions, more personalized interactions, and smoother experiences for users.”
By bridging the gap between insight and execution — and by bypassing traditional API limitations — Forethought is positioning its platform as a foundation for agentic AI in real-world enterprise environments.
