Cohesity, a leader in AI-powered data security, has announced an expanded collaboration with Google Cloud, introducing integrated solutions that combine AI, cybersecurity, and data protection. The partnership aims to help enterprises protect sensitive information, meet compliance requirements, and unlock value from AI-ready data.
Accelerating AI-Driven Insights
The collaboration leverages Google’s Gemini models to power Cohesity’s enterprise AI assistant, Cohesity Gaia, across cloud and on-premises deployments. Gaia enables employees to extract insights from unstructured enterprise data through natural language queries.
Future integrations include Google Cloud’s Vertex AI Search, delivering instant, grounded answers with citations from immutable, AI-ready enterprise data lakes. Planned integration with Gemini Enterprise will allow AI agents to access historical enterprise data securely, integrating seamlessly with existing workflows. A Google Cloud-hosted version of Gaia is also available, enhancing speed, reliability, and global scalability.
Strengthening Cybersecurity and Threat Response
Cohesity Data Cloud now incorporates Google Threat Intelligence, providing high-fidelity indicators of compromise (IOCs) for proactive hunting and reactive threat scanning. Cohesity’s Cyber Event Response Team (CERT) collaborates with Google Cloud’s Mandiant Incident Response team to help clients recover quickly from cyber incidents.
Planned expansions include cyber resilience SaaS offerings, featuring cloud-isolated recovery to restore critical data securely, even if primary systems are compromised. Deeper integration with Google Security Operations will automate workflows, surface hidden threats in backup data, and reduce response times.
Meeting Digital Sovereignty Requirements
As global data governance regulations expand, enterprises increasingly demand solutions that combine resilience with local control. Cohesity is a certified Google Cloud Ready – Regulated & Sovereignty Solutions partner, enabling deployments within Google Cloud’s Data Boundary.
The collaboration also leverages Cohesity FortKnox, a cyber vaulting solution, to maintain immutable, isolated copies of critical data within specific regions. Policy-based controls ensure data remains recoverable only in approved jurisdictions, providing a combination of sovereignty compliance and robust cyber resilience.
Expanding Enterprise Data Protection
Cohesity DataProtect now offers enhanced protection for Google Cloud services, including Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, BigQuery, and other enterprise data platforms. Immutable backups can be stored in Google Cloud or on-premises, with flexible regional storage options. All Cohesity Data Cloud components are available via Google Cloud Marketplace, simplifying deployment and maximizing cloud investments.
The partnership also includes joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling programs, and integrated marketing campaigns to accelerate enterprise adoption of AI-driven, secure, and sovereign data solutions.
