Truveta has unveiled its latest innovation, Tru, an AI-powered research assistant within Truveta Studio designed to transform the way healthcare researchers conduct their studies. Utilizing the Truveta Language Model (TLM), Tru enables users to accelerate their research processes by simply asking natural language questions.
Key Features of Tru
- Accelerated Research: Tru allows researchers to quickly identify code sets, build, and visualize patient populations. For instance, those studying GLP-1 RA medications can easily find all patients prescribed these drugs and visualize trends over time.
- Hypothesis Development: With Tru, researchers can discover trends through iterative prompts and data visualizations. Users can create time series visualizations, such as monitoring hospitalizations for viral gastroenteritis, simply by posing natural language queries.
- Transparency and Trust: Tru offers complete transparency into the data sources and underlying code sets that inform its responses. This feature sets it apart from other generative AI tools, allowing researchers to have confidence in the insights generated.
Tru is currently available in beta and will be rolled out more broadly in the coming months, aligning with Truveta’s mission of Saving Lives with Data. TLM, the foundation of Tru, is the first large-language, multi-modal model trained on comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) data, achieving over 90% precision across clinical domains.
“Truveta Data enables AI to unlock insights that can improve care for everyone, with billions of data points cleaned daily for research on any drug, disease, or device,” said Jay Nanduri, CTO and co-founder of Truveta. “With Tru, researchers can leverage natural language questions to enhance their rigorous scientific inquiries in Truveta Studio.”
As Truveta continues to innovate in the AI healthcare space, Tru represents a significant step toward helping researchers unravel complex health mysteries and improve patient care.
